Michael Swartzell

Michael Swartzell has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Their most recent role was as Vice President, Supply and Risk Management, Retail Gas at NextEra Energy Services starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held various positions at Gas South, including Vice President, Structured Products and Risk, Vice President, Supply & Structuring, Manager, Supply & Analysis, and Business Analyst - Lead Analyst. Michael also worked as a Business Analyst at Southern Company Gas and in the Supplier Quality department at General Motors.

Michael Swartzell completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology between 2000 and 2004. In 2010, they obtained a Certificate in Business Leadership from the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business through the Atlanta Leadership Symposium.
