Gretchen Betts has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Gretchen is currently a Non Executive Director at NextGen Planners since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Magenta Financial Planning starting from August 2016, where they held the role of a Certified Financial Planner & Managing Director. At Magenta, they focused on providing personal and friendly financial planning services to clients, helping them plan for future security and happiness. Before joining Magenta, Gretchen worked at Broadway Financial Planning Ltd as a Certified Financial Planner from July 2015 to August 2016. Gretchen was responsible for providing strategic financial planning advice to clients, mainly based in Wales. Gretchen strongly believed in working closely with clients to understand their goals and create lifetime financial plans to help them achieve those goals. Prior to Broadway Financial Planning, Gretchen was a Wealth Adviser & Financial Planner at Towry from November 2012 to July 2015. Gretchen also worked as a Financial Adviser at Clay Shaw Thomas from September 2003 to October 2012. Their career in the finance industry began as a Trainee IFA at Grant Thornton from September 2001 to September 2003. Before that, they worked as a Data Input at Nationwide Building Society from January 1996 to August 1999.

Gretchen Betts has a diverse education history. Gretchen obtained a Chartered Financial Planner degree from the Chartered Insurance Institute in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Diploma in Financial Planning from the Institute of Financial Planning in 2014, with a focus on Financial Planning and Services. From 2004 to 2009, Gretchen pursued further studies in Financial Planning and Services at the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Earlier in their education, Gretchen received a BA Hons degree in Ceramics from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff in 2001. Before that, they completed an Art Foundation program at Swindon College in 1998, specializing in Art. As for their secondary education, Gretchen attended Malmesbury School from 1990 to 1997, where they obtained A Levels and GCSE qualifications in various subjects.

In addition to their educational accomplishments, Gretchen also holds various certifications. Gretchen received the LGBT Champion Gold award from the LGBT Foundation in June 2022. In June 2017, they obtained a Level 2 Leadership and Management certification from THE INSTITUTE OF LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT.
