Kiewan Villatel

Kiewan Villatel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and responsibilities. Kiewan started their professional career in 2010 as an R&D Engineer intern at Euriware, where they focused on optimizing the core algorithm of an expert system for diagnosing industrial machine breakdowns using association rules learning and building a data set.

In 2012, they joined Surgivisio / TIMC - IMAG as an R&D Engineer intern, where they were part of a team developing a 3D tomographic reconstruction software for a C-arm medical scanner. Their work involved studying state-of-the-art tomography algorithms and implementing them on a GPU.

Later that year, Kiewan joined Thales Services as a Software Engineer and worked there until 2015. During this time, they gained experience in software development.

In 2015, Kiewan joined Criteo as an R&D Software Engineer, where they contributed to the development of Criteo's Email retargeting solution. Their primary focus was on the prediction engine responsible for identifying opportunities, delivering personalized emails, and maximizing click-through rates (CTR). Kiewan worked on machine learning tasks related to online advertising, including click-through rate (CTR) prediction, conversion rate (CR) prediction, and recommender system. Additionally, they conducted research on long-term user behavior modeling using recurrent neural networks.

Kiewan Villatel received an Engineer's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble. In addition to this degree, Kiewan obtained certifications in Machine Learning: Regression and Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach from Coursera in May 2017 and April 2017, respectively.
