Mohamed Kafsi

Mohamed Kafsi, PhD has experience working in various roles and companies. Mohamed is currently a Co-Founder at AMLD Africa, starting in January 2021. Mohamed is also an Engineering Manager, Analytics-AI at Nexthink since 2021.

In their previous experience, Mohamed worked at Swisscom as a Team Lead for Data, Analytics & AI from 2015 to 2021. Prior to that, they were an AI Researcher at Yahoo! in 2013 and a Machine Learning Researcher at Nokia in 2008-2009. Mohamed also worked as a Data Scientist at Deutsche Telekom in 2007.

Mohamed Kafsi, PhD, obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Machine Learning from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2009 to 2015. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed their Master's degree in Communication Systems at EPFL from 2006 to 2009. Mohamed also holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, which they obtained from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005.
