Oriol Lluch

Oriol Lluch has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Oriol started their career as a Telecommunications Engineer at EPFL, where they worked on H.264 codec modification for ultra-low delay. Oriol then joined Nagra as a Senior System Engineer, responsible for deployment and maintenance of platforms in the company's catalog. After that, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at SpotMe, where they focused on cloud infrastructure management, automation, and security strategy.

Following their tenure at SpotMe, Oriol joined Cisco as a Technology Strategist. In this role, they led a transformative strategic innovation project focused on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Their contributions included project management, market and ecosystem analysis, and defining a strategic framework for accelerating AI adoption within Cisco.

Most recently, Oriol has been working at Nexthink. Oriol initially served as a Product Delivery Lead, responsible for overseeing the software delivery pipeline and implementing DevOps practices. Their role expanded to include being an Engineering Manager and Product Owner for a team of DevOps professionals. Currently, Oriol holds the position of Senior Manager of Productivity Engineering & Cloud Platform at Nexthink, where they are responsible for overseeing the implementation of a plan to move the company towards continuous delivery and building a platform on top of Kubernetes, Service Mesh, and Kafka.

Oriol Lluch has a diverse education history. In 2001, they started studying at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they pursued a Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Oriol completed this program in 2007. In the same year, they attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), specializing in Telecommunications Engineering. This program focused on Electronics, Signal Processing, and Video Encoding.

Afterward, in 2013 and 2014, Oriol pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (E.M.B.A.) in the Management of Technology-based Enterprise from EPFL. This program emphasized the business aspects of technology-based enterprises.

Throughout their career, Oriol has also obtained several certifications. In 2012, they earned the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification from Cisco. The same year, they completed the Machine Learning certification from Stanford University. In 2017, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Additionally, they attained certifications in Leading Strategic Initiatives from IMD Business School in 2017 and Software as a Service from edX in 2012.
