Housam Housami has a diverse range of work experience in the telecommunications industry. Housam started their career at Lucent in 1998, where they worked as a Senior System Engineer and generated multiple patents for novel design ideas related to 3G/UMTS systems. Housam then moved to Motorola in 2004, where they worked in pre-sales as a Bids and Proposals specialist, supporting bid and proposal activities and dimensioning networks.
In 2006, Housam joined IPWireless as a Pre-Sales Technical Consultant, responsible for planning and optimizing UMTS TDD trial networks and collecting and analyzing network performance statistics. Housam then transitioned to Alcatel-Lucent as a Portfolio Manager, where they managed UMTS feature planning and assessed new product features.
Housam's next role was at Ubiquisys in 2007, where they worked on SmallCell development, focusing on Femtocell specific algorithms, system engineering process management, feature management, and technical marketing. From 2010 to 2014, they served as the Managing Director at d x b Consultants, specializing in mobile and wireless telecommunication technologies, providing technical pre-sales, business development, and radio network planning and optimization.
Housam's career continued at SabreCom from 2014 to 2016, where they held the position of Managing Director. Their responsibilities included business development and technical sales consultancy, training and technical support, and mobile telecom solutions architecture.
Starting in 2010, Housam also worked at Nextivity as a Sales/Solutions Architect/EMEA, where they owned and managed the technical relationship with multiple operator customers. This involved coordinating and project managing pre-sales, trial, demo, approval, and other technical activities, collaborating with various teams across the organization and developing relationships with potential partners.
Currently, Housam is a Member of the Board of Trustees at The Harbour Project, starting in 2022.
Housam Housami completed their education at several institutions. Housam attended the American University of Beirut from 1991 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer and Communication Engineering. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Mobile and Satellite Communication at the University of Surrey from 1997 to 1998. Housam then went on to obtain an MBA in Management from the University of Bath between 2003 and 2005.
