Marc Ryan Garcia

Marc Ryan Garcia has worked in the financial and corporate sectors since 2010. Marc Ryan began their career at Jollibee Foods Corporation as a Buyer in the Corporate Purchasing Division, where they were responsible for procurement of special, non-standard IT hardware, software, infrastructure products and services. In 2012, they joined Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation as a Management Trainee in the Officer Development Program, where they were ranked as the top graduate of the 2012-2013 batch. During their time at Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, they also served as a Credit Strategist in the Global Credit Division and a Foreign Exchange Sales Trader in the Global Distribution & Advisory Division. In 2019, they became the Head of Bank Cash-in/Cash-out and Product Manager of Online Cash-in/Cash-out at GCash (Mynt - Globe Fintech Innovations, Inc.). Most recently, in 2021, they joined NextPay (YC W21) as a Product Manager.

Marc Ryan Garcia has a BS Management Engineering (honors program) from Ateneo de Manila University, which they obtained between 2006 and 2010. Marc Ryan has also obtained certifications from various institutions, such as Coursera, Scrum.org, and Ateneo - BAP Institute of Banking. These certifications include Agile Project Management and Agile with Atlassian Jira (both obtained in July 2021), Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) (obtained in July 2021), Python for Applied Data Science (obtained in November 2018), Data Science Methodology (obtained in October 2018), Data Science Orientation (obtained in October 2018), Open Source Tools for Data Science (obtained in October 2018), and Certified Treasury Professional (obtained in October 2013). Additionally, they are currently a member of the CFA Institute.
