Joachim Kessel has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Joachim began their career as a Software Engineer at BOV AG in 1999 and worked there for six years. Joachim then joined Mazda Motor Europe where they held various roles including Analyst/Developer, Supervisor, Teamleader, and Manager in the IS Business Processes department. Joachim worked at Mazda for eight years before taking a brief time-out in 2013. After their break, they joined cv cryptovision as a Product Manager, responsible for channeling requirements, providing pre-sales support, coordinating tasks, and resolving conflicts. In 2017, they moved to Nexus Technology GmbH, where they initially served as a Product Owner Entitlement and later took on the role of Product Owner Entitlement & Teamlead. Currently, Joachim is the Head of CardDesk at Nexus Group - Global, where they manage the CardDesk development department and coordinates with management and sales teams.

Joachim Kessel has a diverse education history. In 1988, they pursued an apprenticeship as an Energy Electronics Technician at RAG, which they completed in 1992. From 1992 to 1998, they also served in the Bundeswehr (German Army). In 1999, Joachim obtained a degree as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) from BOV AG. Joachim then attended the Academy for Information and Telecommunication Technology (A.I.T.) from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a degree as an IT Project Coordinator. In 2016, Joachim attended OpenHPI and completed courses in "Unternehmensgründung im IT-Bereich" (Founding a Company in the IT Sector) and "Sicherheit im Internet" (Internet Security). In 2017, they furthered their knowledge by attending ASB and received training as a First Responder. That same year, they also completed a program at BBG-SVG and became a Fire Prevention Assistant. Finally, in 2022, Joachim attended the Heise Academy to expand their expertise in Mastering Microservices.
