Jens Groth

Jens Groth is an accomplished expert in cryptology with extensive experience in research, teaching, and consulting. Currently serving as Chief Scientist at Nexus Labs since December 2023, Jens focuses on zero-knowledge proofs at Internet scale. Prior to this role, Jens was a Principal Researcher at DFINITY from January 2019 to November 2023 and a Consultant at Q&I Ltd from April 2016 to December 2018. Jens also held the position of Professor of Cryptology at University College London from September 2007 to December 2018, where research and teaching in cryptography were key responsibilities. Earlier in Jens' career, Jens worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA from February 2005 to August 2007 and completed a PhD in Computer Science at Aarhus University, where Jens was also a student from 1992 to 2004.
