Troy Becicka has worked in the engineering field since 2006. Troy began their career at Caterpillar Inc. as an Engineering Specialist, where they led the development of a mobile terrain mapping system that utilized onboard perception sensors to generate an accurate 3-D terrain map of the surrounding work area in real time. Troy was then promoted to Senior Engineer and was a core member of the Command for Dozing team that developed the first fully-integrated autonomous dozing solution. Troy also held the role of Research and Development Engineer and was part of the Engineering Rotational Development Program, where they designed and built a prototype system to measure operator vibration exposure levels in accordance with ISO 2631-1 and tested and developed Simulink block interfaces to electronic control module (ECM) components. In 2021, they joined Neya Systems as a Senior Robotics Software Engineer.
Troy Becicka obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2004. Troy then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Engineering at the same university, which they completed in 2006. In June 2022, they obtained the Thrive at Work from Anywhere certification from LinkedIn.
