Pedro Palma Ramos

Pedro Palma Ramos has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Pedro began their career as a Research Assistant at INESC-ID, where they worked on developing Rosetta, an IDE for building CAD and BIM geometries using computational design processes. During this role, they designed and developed an implementation of the Python programming language for the Racket environment.

After that, Pedro worked as a Software Engineer at e.near from January 2015 to November 2017. Pedro then joined Hexis Technology Hub as a Software Engineer for a brief period from January 2018 to August 2018.

In September 2018, Pedro joined muse.ai as a Senior Software Engineer. Their work involved designing, developing, and deploying several systems for storing and processing videos, as well as creating web-based UIs for visualizing and curating machine learning results. The main languages they used in this role were Python, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, and C.

From 2012 to 2014, they attended Instituto Superior Técnico, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering. Prior to that, from 2009 to 2012, Pedro earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in the same field from the same institution. Before entering university, from 2006 to 2009, they attended Escola Secundária Jácome Ratton, where they completed their Secondary Level Education with a focus on Sciences and Technologies.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Pedro has obtained the First Certificate in English (FCE) certification from the University of Cambridge in August 2006.
