Kirsten Smith

Kirsten Smith, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Kirsten is currently the Director of Human Resources at Networking For Future (NFF) since 2023. From 2019 to 2023, Kirsten worked at Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc. in various roles. Kirsten served as the Director of Human Resources, where they provided leadership and guidance on HR practices, talent acquisition, employee onboarding, and training. Prior to that, they were a Human Resources Manager, responsible for talent management, employee relations, and implementation of HRIS. Kirsten started their tenure at Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc. as a Human Resources Generalist, focusing on talent analysis, strategic solutions, and change management processes.

Before joining Sierra Management and Technologies, Inc., Kirsten worked as a Human Resources Specialist at Corporate Brokers in 2018, where they interpreted insurance laws and regulations, handled benefits administration, and conducted data analysis related to customer outcomes. Kirsten also gained experience as a People & Culture (HR) Coordinator at Montage International from 2017 to 2018.

Kirsten started their career at Target in 2015, where they held two roles simultaneously - Campus Liaison - Recruiter and Executive Team Leader Intern - Human Resources. These positions provided their with valuable experience in campus recruiting and HR operations.

Throughout their work experience, Kirsten has demonstrated expertise in various HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, HR leadership, and HRIS implementation. Kirsten is a certified SHRM-CP professional, indicating their knowledge and commitment to HR best practices.

Kirsten Smith, SHRM-CP, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Leadership & Development and Human Resources Management from Towson University. Kirsten attended Towson University from 2013 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications. These certifications include "The Impact of AI on HR," "Employing Abilities at Work," "Getting Talent Back to Work," "Veterans at Work," and "Professional Development & Technical Skill-Building" from various institutions such as SHRM and MGIC. Kirsten obtained their SHRM-CP certification in February 2023.
