Asitha Senanayake

Asitha Senanayake, PhD, PE, currently serves as a Senior Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute, a position held since April 2022. Previously, Asitha worked at Fugro as a Senior Engineer and Project Engineer from October 2017 to April 2022, and at Ardaman & Associates as a Project Engineer from August 2016 to September 2017. Academic experience includes serving as a Research and Teaching Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2012 to August 2016, and as a Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa in 2012. Early career experience includes roles as a Teaching/Research Assistant at Texas Tech University and an Engineering Intern at Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau. Asitha holds a PhD in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
