Shambhu Sharma

Shambhu Sharma is a seasoned geotechnical engineer with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as Principal Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute since May 2019. Previous positions include Technical Authority and Principal Engineer at Fugro AG Pty Ltd from November 2013 to May 2019, alongside a role as Technical Lead at Fugro Advanced Geotechnical Laboratory during the same timeframe. Prior to this, Shambhu held the position of Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Advanced Geomechanics Pty Ltd from November 2006 to November 2013 and worked as a Geotechnical Engineer at Golder Associates from January 2005 to October 2006. Early career experience includes a role as Research Associate at The University of Western Australia. Shambhu Sharma completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering at The University of Western Australia, and also holds a Master's degree in Soil Engineering from the Asian Institute of Technology, along with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Tribhuvan University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the School of Management, Tribhuvan University.
