Valerie Pierce

Prior to joining NGM as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Ms. Pierce served as Senior Vice President, Associate General Counsel at Jazz Pharmaceuticals since 2012. She brings to NGM over 25 years of experience providing legal guidance to public pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Before Jazz, Ms. Pierce worked in various in-house positions, including Vice President and Senior Transactional Counsel at Amyris, Inc., Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and earlier roles at the Institute for OneWorld Health, Tularik Inc. and ALZA Corporation. Ms. Pierce received a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Yale University and a J.D. from the Yale Law School.
