Markus Mairhofer

Markus Mairhofer has a significant amount of work experience in various roles and companies. Markus is currently serving as the Head of Development & Process Technology at Next Generation Recycling Machines since June 2020. Prior to that, they worked as the Technical Director at Maschinenfabrik Laska GmbH from October 2019 to January 2020. Their longest tenure was at Primetals Technologies, where they held multiple positions including Produktverantwortlicher/Product Owner/Projektleiter from April 2016 to September 2019, Teamleiter/Lead Engineer/Projektleiter from October 2012 to April 2016, and Produktentwickler Mechatronik/Projektleiter from October 2008 to September 2012. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Junior Researcher at Linz Center of Mechatronics GmbH from April 2007 to January 2008. Additionally, they served as a Trainer in der Erwachsenenbildung at BBRZ Linz from October 2005 to March 2007, a Trainer Werkmeisterschule at WIFI Österreich from November 2005 to June 2006, and a Monteur & Software Engineer at Siemens from December 1996 to October 2000.

Markus Mairhofer earned their Dipl.-Ing. (MSc.) degree in Mechatronics from Johannes Kepler Universität Linz from 2000 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended Abendschule HTBLA Paul-Hahn - LITEC Linz from 1996 to 2000, where they studied Leistungselektronik und Energietechnik. From 1992 to 1996, Markus completed a vocational training as a Starkstrommonteur at Siemens Linz and received a Facharbeiter qualification.
