Colton Estes is currently serving as an Application Engineer at Moore Nanotechnology Systems since February 2022. Prior to this, Colton worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western Carolina University from August 2019 to December 2021. Colton also has experience as a Resident Assistant at Western Carolina University from August 2017 to May 2019. Colton holds a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University, which Colton obtained from 2019 to 2021. Prior to their Master's degree, Colton earned an Engineer's degree in Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University from 2015 to 2019.

Moore Nanotechnology Systems was established in October 1997 as a stand alone subsidiary of the Moore Tool Company. Our initial vision remains in the continual development of state-of-the-art ultra-precision manufacturing systems and processes for the production of advanced optics. We develop, design and manufacture ultra-precision machining systems for single point diamond turning, deterministic grinding, micro-milling and glass press molding. Our machines are primarily used in the consumer electronics, defense, aerospace, lighting, medical and automotive sectors. We maintain an installed base of hundreds of Nanotech ultra-precision machining systems in many countries around the world and we continue to grow.
