Nam Nguyen

Nam Nguyen is an accomplished actuarial professional with extensive experience in capital management and modelling. As Head of Capital at NHBC since July 2019, Nam Nguyen has spearheaded the development and operation of a robust capital management framework while overseeing the Capital Modelling and Capital Management teams. Previously, as Lead Capital Actuary at Starr Companies from December 2014 to July 2019, Nam Nguyen managed the capital team and supported the Chief Actuary and the actuarial and risk management team in capital modelling and the implementation of the Solvency II program. Prior roles include serving as an Actuarial Consultant at Towers Watson and EMB, where Nam Nguyen led significant Solvency II modelling projects and contributed to insurance product pricing models. Nam Nguyen holds the FIA designation in Actuarial Science from the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries and a degree in Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick.
