Catherine Sykes

Catherine Sykes is an experienced clinical scientist and researcher currently serving as a PhD Research Fellow at The Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since November 2017. Prior experience includes a position as Trainee Clinical Scientist in Gastrointestinal Physiology at NHS Lothian, where rotations spanned multiple specialties including GI, Respiratory and Sleep Sciences. Catherine's background also includes roles as a Healthcare Assistant at NHS Lothian, Clinical Support Worker at The Edinburgh Clinic, and Course Assistant at The University of Edinburgh. Catherine holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Science from Newcastle University and a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences (Pharmacology) from The University of Edinburgh.
