Lee Maxwell has a diverse work experience in the healthcare sector. Lee started their career at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, where they held various supervisory and managerial roles from 2010 to 2014. Lee then served as a Health Records Manager from 2014 to 2017, where they were responsible for monitoring and analyzing board capacity and demand models. In 2017, they became a Project Manager, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing patient waiting times.

Lee joined NHS Lothian in 2019 as a Business Manager to the Deputy Chief Executive, where they enabled the delivery of a complex portfolio of work and supported service development and improvement. Lee later transitioned to the role of eHealth Programme Manager in 2020, leading productivity and efficiency projects.

Currently, Lee is working at NHS Lothian as the Head of Health Records, where they manage and develops the Health Records Service in alignment with the organization's strategic plans. Lee is accountable for delivering a comprehensive and secure Health Records service across various sectors, including inpatient and outpatient administrative services, clinical coding, and data quality aspects.
