James Mackay

Superintendent, Operational Support at Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS)

James Mackay is the current Superintendent of Operational Support at Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS). Prior to this, they were a Facilitator at the Ontario Police College from June 1998 to March 2002, where they delivered several five-day "Investigating Sexual Offences Against Children" courses for police officers and child protection workers. Mackay began their career in law enforcement with Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) in December 1987 as a Communicator before becoming an Ambulance Attendant with St. Catharines & District Ambulance in May 1987.

James Mackay has a career in law enforcement and has completed a Police Leadership Program from the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management. James also has a Senior Police Administration degree from the Canadian Police College (CPC) and a Criminology degree from Brock University. In addition, Mackay has an Ontario Police College diploma and a Certificate in Ambulance and Emergency Care from Niagara College. James also has a Science degree from Western University. Mackay is a Certified Emergency Fire Dispatcher and a Certified Emergency Police Dispatcher from the International Academy of Emergency Fire Dispatch. James is also a CMM III - Police Professional from the Ontario Municipal Management Institute.

James Mackay works with David Meade - Superintendent, Executive Services, Brian Ash - Superintendent, Emergency & Investigative Services, and Richard Frayne - Superintendent, Corporate Services. James Mackay reports to Bryan MacCulloch, Chief of Police.
