Esther Finnbogadóttir

Esther Finnbogadottir serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for The Finnish-Icelandic Chamber of Commerce since 2022, after being a board member since 2007. Esther has been a Member of the Board of Directors at the Nordic Investment Bank since June 2016, holding the position of Chair from 2020 to 2022. Esther has also been the Head of Funding and Debt Management at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, Republic of Iceland since February 2013. Previously, Esther was a Partner at Analytica, a risk and investment advisory firm, from November 2010 to December 2012. Other notable roles include Head of Credit Risk at Straumur Investment Bank and Senior Business Manager at Kaupthing Bank. Esther's early career involved positions as an Analyst/Head of Research at Kaupthing and Marketing at Icelandic Freezing Plants Corporation. Educational credentials include an MBA from Reykjavik University and a Cand.Oecon in Business Administration from Háskóli Íslands.
