Luca De Lorenzo

Luca De Lorenzo is a Senior Director & Head of Sustainability & Mandate at the Nordic Investment Bank. Prior to this, they were the Head of Unit, Climate, Energy and Society and Senior Energy Expert at SEI - Stockholm Environment Institute from May 2015 to December 2018.

De Lorenzo's work focuses on understanding the role of energy for a sustainable development and implications for climate change and a low carbon economy. Luca has been focused on understanding the role of fossil fuels during the energy transition and the financing needs for delivery of affordable and sustainable energy services.

Relevant topics that De Lorenzo has worked on include: the role of fossil fuels in the transition to low carbon energy systems, the deployment of renewable energy in energy markets, energy access and climate targets, and green bonds and sustainable infrastructure.
