Rutger Huijg

Rutger Huijg has extensive experience in investment management and legal advisory roles, serving as a Board member and Investment Committee member at NIBC Infrastructure Partners since 2014, where responsibilities include oversight of the EUR 350m NIBC European Infrastructure Fund. In addition, Rutger has held the position of Associate Director and Attorney-at-law at NIBC Bank since 2005, focusing on client-centric products, fund structures, and strategic projects, while also leading legal aspects for various investment funds. Previous roles include Vice President at NIB Capital and Attorney-at-law at Trenité van Doorne, with expertise in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, as well as banking and finance law across diverse sectors. Educational qualifications include LL.M. degrees in Dutch Law and International Law from Leiden University, and European, International and Comparative Law from the European University Institute, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in International Relations from Johns Hopkins University.
