Sven de Veij

Sven De Veij has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Sven began their career at NIBC Bank in 2003 as an Analyst in Corporate Lending and gradually gained promotions to positions such as Associate, Vice President, and Director. In 2009, they became Vice President of Infrastructure & Renewables, where they specialized in originating and structuring Project Finance transactions in the renewable energy industry. From 2010 to 2012, Sven held the position of Vice President in Offshore Energy, followed by being a Director and then Associate Director in the same field. In 2015, they became the Head of Offshore Energy before being promoted to Managing Director and Head of Offshore Energy in 2017. In 2019, they took up the role of Managing Director and Head of Corporate Banking Portfolio Management for NIBC Bank. Prior to joining NIBC Bank, Sven worked as a Consultant at Horwath Consulting from 1999 to 2000.

Sven De Veij has pursued various educational programs throughout their career. Sven completed a Strategic Management in Banking program at INSEAD in 2019. In 2014, they attended IMD to study Mobilizing People. Prior to that, Sven earned a Drs/Masters degree in Business Administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam between 2000 and 2003. Sven began their academic journey at Hotelschool The Hague, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management/Hotel Business Administration from 1996 to 2000.
