Håkon Borch has had extensive work experience in various research and executive roles. Håkon started their career in 1994 as a Miljøvernsjef at Stange kommune. From 1999 to 2005, they worked as a researcher at Jordforsk and also served as a Member of the Board at NINA naturdata as from 2002 to 2004. In 2004, they founded BorchBio and held a position as a Business Executive and Developer. In 2006, they joined NIBIO Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research, where they served as a Senior Researcher until 2016. Håkon then became the Head of Department for Urban Greening and Environmental Engineering at NIBIO, a position they currently hold.
Håkon Borch completed their education from 1986 to 1991 at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (UMB), where they obtained a Master's degree in Biology and nature conservation.
