Mark Ratcliffe has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mark began their career in 1987 at Miller Brothers Ltd as a Store Manager and Company Health & Safety Officer. During their tenure, they managed large stores in Birmingham and gained qualifications in IOSH and NEBOSH.

In 2007, Miller Brothers Ltd was taken over by Empire Direct, where Mark continued to work as a Store Manager and Company Health & Safety Officer until 2009.

Mark joined City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd in 2009 as a Store Cleaning Manager. Mark later advanced to the role of Regional Cleaning Manager, overseeing multiple sites across the country. As a Divisional Cleaning Manager, Mark supported Regional Cleaning Managers and collaborated with the Central Cleaning Team, contributing to the implementation of new ways of working and working on a project for a new outside cleaning contract.

Most recently, in 2022, Mark joined NIC Services Group Ltd as a Regional Recruitment Lead, where they currently hold the position.

Mark Ratcliffe attended Great Barr Secondary School from 1974 to 1979. Mark has also obtained several certifications related to occupational health and safety, including Managing Safely Refresher from IOSH in 2019, Managing Safely from IOSH in 2013, Nebosh Controlling workplace hazards from NEBOSH in 2007, Nebosh General Certificate Level 3 in Occupational Health and Safety from NEBOSH in 2007, Nebosh Health and Safety Practical Application from NEBOSH in 2007, Nebosh Management of Health and Safety from NEBOSH in 2007, Safety Inspectors from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in 2006, IOSH Managing Safely Course from The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in 2005, and Managing Safely from IOSH in 2005.
