Sergi Laencina Verdaguer

Sergi Laencina Verdaguer has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Sergi started their career as a Developer at i2CAT Foundation from March 2007 to December 2009. In January 2010, they joined NPAW as a Developer and later transitioned to the role of VP Services & Architecture from October 2014 to November 2015. Sergi then served as the CTO of NPAW, a global leader in big data and business intelligence solutions, from December 2015 to April 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Information & Security Officer at NPAW, starting from June 2021.

Sergi Laencina Verdaguer has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication Engineering – Telematics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, obtained between 2004 and 2007. Sergi also holds a Master's Thesis in Technology/Telecommunications from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, completed in 2007. Additionally, they have pursued further education at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, earning a Telecommunications Engineer degree between 2007 and 2009, as well as a Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering & Management during the same period. Sergi has also obtained several certifications from Widevine Technologies, including Certified Widevine Modular DRM Implementation Partner and Certified Widevine Classic License Server in 2014, and Certified Widevine Live Implementation Partner and Certified Widevine VOD Implementation Partner in 2012.
