Fernando Pineda's work experience includes various roles in the aviation industry. Fernando served as the Chief Technology Officer and Flight Operations head at NICHOLAS AIR since October 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Executive Vice President of Operations for the same company from March 2019 to October 2021.

Before joining NICHOLAS AIR, Fernando worked at Aerodynamics Inc. as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from November 2018 to March 2019. Fernando also held positions such as Director of Operations Control Center from January 2016 to November 2018 and Operations Control Center Manager prior to that.

Fernando Pineda was the President of GeckoSix, Inc. from July 2011 to March 2014, providing information systems solutions and project management services to the aviation, medical, and commercial/retail industries.

Fernando previously worked at Flight Works, Inc. as part of the Flight Dispatch, Flight Management, and FOS Management & Development team from March 2007 to August 2011. Before that, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Farmingdale State University, teaching courses in corporate aviation management, flight theory, government in aviation, information systems management, database programming, and computer systems from January 2003 to March 2007.

Fernando began their career as a Flight Operations Manager at Northeastern Aviation Corp. from March 2002 to March 2007, where they oversaw day-to-day operations and implemented a flight operations system.

Fernando also served as a Manager at Select Aviation Academy from May 1998 to March 2002, where they played a key role in expanding the fleet and securing contracts with high schools and Farmingdale University's flight program.

Fernando Pineda's education history includes multiple degrees and certifications. In 1996, they began studying at Farmingdale State College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation/Airway Management and Operations with a focus on Information Systems Management. Fernando attended Farmingdale State College until 2000. Before attending college, they completed their high school education at John Adams High School from 1990 to 1992. In terms of certifications, Fernando obtained an Aircraft Dispatcher Certification (Boeing 737) from Flight Safety International in 2015. Fernando also has additional certifications as an Aircraft Dispatcher from the Federal Aviation Administration, which they obtained in August 2015, and as a Pilot from the FAA, obtained in March 1998.
