Laura Rothrock

VP of Government & Community Affairs at Nicholas & Lence Communications

Laura Rothrock, Senior Vice President of Government & Community Affairs, helps clients navigate government, advocates on their behalf, and ensures they are reaching critical influencers. Laura specializes in policy analysis, code compliance, advocacy, business development and relationship building. She represents clients in transportation, infrastructure, economic development, and tourism and serves as a program manager for industry associations and community organizations.

Prior to joining NLC, Laura was the Assistant Vice President of Montparnasse 56 USA, an independent operator of international tourist attractions. Laura’s focus at Montparnasse 56 was analyzing the feasibility of new business opportunities throughout the United States and China.

Prior to joining Montparnasse 56, Laura was the Executive Director of the Business Improvement District (BID) Program at the NYC Department of Small Business Services. In that role, she oversaw all facets of the $100 million public-private program.

Prior to her work in the Bloomberg Administration, Laura worked at an environmental and consumer advocacy non-profit organization in Washington, D.C.

Laura is a member of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY) Young Professionals Steering Committee and was named City & State New York’s “Forty Under 40” Rising Stars in 2016.

Laura holds a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University in Maryland and a Master of City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Laura is a mother to two boys and loves running, Broadway, and all-things NYC.
