Peter H. Nickerson

Principal at Nickerson & Associates

Peter is an economist and the principal of Nickerson & Associates. He has worked as an expert on hundreds of cases over a 40 year consulting career. The types of cases run the spectrum from the Exxon Valdez oil spill, to numerous wage and hour class actions, individual employment cases, and scores of business-related damages cases. His focus has and continues to be sound, unbiased analysis, backed by good data and established legal and economic foundations. He has been a tenured professor and has taught at Seattle University, New York University and the University of Washington. In the late 1990s he founded, took public, and ultimately sold a data-driven Internet company that employed over 400 people. When not at work, he fishes, runs herd on two dogs, and manages five bee hives.

Peter has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Washington State University and a Master of Arts and a PhD, both in Economics, from the University of Washington in Seattle.
