Kristine Albano Garlisi has a diverse work experience. Kristine started their career as an Associate Dean for Student Life at St. John's University in 1995 and later became the Director of Special Events and Operations at AFL CIO in 1997. Kristine then held various positions at St. John's University, including Adjunct Professor and Director of Alumni Relations & Development for the Staten Island campus. In 2006, they launched their own business as an Event Design and Community Relations Consultant, serving numerous clients in the education, social events, small business, and nonprofit sectors. In addition to their consultancy work, they also served as the Founding Director of the St. Charles Parish Villamarin Math & Science Academy. Since 2008, they have been the Chief Operating Officer at The Nicotra Group, Staten Island's largest hospitality and real estate development company. Kristine is also the Executive Director of The Lois & Richard Nicotra Foundation, where they oversee grant applications and recipients.

Kristine Albano Garlisi completed their education at St. John's University. From 1995 to 1997, they pursued a Masters degree in Government and Politics with a Certificate in Public Administration. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Speech and Communication Arts from the same institution, graduating in 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Kristine Albano Garlisi has also obtained several certifications. Kristine was selected by Facebook as a Social Community Leader for the Facebook Communities Summit in February 2019.
