Cliff Barbier

Cliff Barbier is a Principal Cybersecurity Architect at NielsenIQ since November 2022, where responsibilities include creating and managing secure configuration baselines for cloud services aligned with CIS Controls. Previously, as an Organizer for BSidesNola from November 2017 to April 2023, Cliff planned and managed conference operations. From April 2016 to November 2022, Cliff served as a Senior Security Architect at Equifax, establishing a Cybersecurity Architecture practice and conducting security assessments across various infrastructures. As a consultant from August 2014 to April 2016, engagement included training financial institution Boards on information security governance. At the FDIC (July 2010 - July 2014), Cliff worked as an IT Examination Analyst, ensuring banks' compliance with federal information security regulations. Earlier roles included Security Engineer and Compliance Director at TraceSecurity from October 2005 to March 2010, Proprietor at KLF Computer Consulting from May 1997 to October 2006, and Level 2 Help Desk support for the State of Louisiana's Department of Environmental Quality from February 1998 to April 2003.
