Lafayette Cope

Lafayette Cope has extensive experience in technology leadership roles. Lafayette started at Nielsen in 2013, where they served as SVP, Global Technology and led the transformation of their technology strategy and solutions in over 90 countries. As SVP, Enterprise IT, Shared Global Services, Lafayette managed a team of over 250 IT professionals and successfully transitioned the company from waterfall to agile methodologies. Before joining Nielsen, Lafayette worked at Citi as a Senior Vice President, overseeing the strategy and implementation of software for their North America Cards Division. Lafayette also served as Chief of Staff/Director, managing day-to-day operations and reporting for the CIO and senior directors. Additionally, Lafayette has experience in project implementation, working with government and private sector clients. Currently, they hold the position of SVP Technology at NielsenIQ.

Lafayette Cope obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems, General from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 1990-1991. Lafayette also holds additional certifications such as an Executive Education Certificate from the Advent Leadership Academy at Harvard Business School in 2022, an Executive Education Certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2014, a BPI Master Black Belt from Nielsen in 2013, and a Certified Project Manager certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2003.
