Michael Okogo (Cinp®

Michael Okogo has a diverse work experience in the engineering field, specializing in process engineering and research and development. Michael started their career at the FCT Water Board as a Process Engineer Intern before moving on to NNPC Renewable Energy Division as a Trainee Process Engineer. Michael then worked as a Support IT personnel at NNPC Retail before joining Saipem Construction Nigeria Limited as an HSE Systems Engineer for a brief period. Michael later joined NNPC Limited, where they held various roles including Process Engineer in the Power Plant and Utilities Department and the Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit. Michael also worked as an Innovation Engineer in the Facilities & Operations Optimization department and as a Lead Analyst in the Subsurface Development Research division. Most recently, Michael worked as a Process Engineer at Nigeria LNG Limited, participating in operational surveillance, support, and shutdown planning. Michael holds several certifications including CInP®, CDTP®, CInS®, and PMP®.

Michael Okogo has a diverse educational background with a focus on business administration, data science, and petroleum engineering. Michael obtained a B.Eng. degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Minna in 2006. Following this, they pursued an M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering & Project Development from the Institute of Petroleum Studies/IFP School, France in 2011.

In terms of certifications, Michael has obtained several qualifications, including the Certified Innovation Professional (CInP®), Certified Design Thinking Professional (CDTP®), Certified Innovation Strategist (CInS®), and Project Management Professional (PMP®) certifications from the Global Innovation Institute and the Project Management Institute respectively. Additionally, they have completed various online courses and workshops related to energy transition, international energy economics, new energy technologies, sustainable mobility, and oil & gas achievement certification.

In 2023, Michael is expected to complete an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, specializing in Business Administration and Management. In 2022, they completed the Applied Data Science Lab program from WorldQuant University.
