Tonye J. Alagba

Tonye J. Alagba (Ph.D) currently serves as the Managing Director at NNPC Limited, a position held since November 2023. Prior to this, Tonye was the CEO of INFIL Petroleum Limited from September 2017 to February 2024, focusing on the development of oil and gas assets in Nigeria and West Africa. Tonye's extensive experience includes roles such as Executive Director (Technical) at Century Group Nigeria, where advisory services were provided across seven subsidiaries, and Consultant Project Director at Sigma Oil Field Services, managing oil field projects. Additional experience includes leadership at Dubai Petroleum, Petrofac Production Solutions, and Xetra/CNPC, specializing in oil field production management and engineering. Education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/Petrochemical Engineering, an MSc in Petroleum Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Project Management.
