Senior Data Scientist at Nightingale Health

Sini Kerminen has a strong background in data analysis and genetics research. Sini is currently working as a Senior Data Scientist at Nightingale Health. Prior to this, they worked at the Institute for Molecular Medicine Finland (FIMM) where they held various roles. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, their main project focused on the genetic risk of breast cancer and utilized statistical and epidemiological methods. Sini also worked as a Doctoral Student, where their research focused on population genetics and polygenic risk in Finland. Sini utilized statistical methods and large-scale data to identify genetic structure and analyze polygenic risk scores. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant and completed their Master's degree in population genetics. Before joining FIMM, they gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki. Sini also had a trainee position at MTT Agrifood Research Finland.

Sini Kerminen completed their education with a Master's Degree in Biotechnology, specialized in Bioinformatics, from the University of Helsinki in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biotechnology from the same university between 2010 and 2013. Sini completed their high school education at Somero High School from 2007 to 2010. Additionally, Sini Kerminen has pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Genetics from the University of Helsinki, although the start and end years for this degree are not specified.
