Project Officer III - International Projects Unit at NIHERST

Joanne Chin Sang has extensive experience in environmental science education and project management, currently serving as Project Officer III in the International Projects Unit at the National Institute of Higher Education, Science, Research and Technology (NIHERST) since March 2005. Notable achievements include spearheading the Seismology in Schools Programme and coordinating the development of an interactive climate change DVD-ROM for Caribbean secondary schools. Joanne also held a fellowship at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, where work focused on climate data infrastructure for Trinidad and Tobago. Joanne's academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Geoinformatics and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental and Natural Resources Management and Biology from the University of the West Indies, along with ongoing certifications in Project Management and Graphic Design.

NIHERST - Fostering a culture of science, technology, creativity and innovation in Trinidad and Tobago. The National Institute of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (NIHERST) was established as a statutory body by Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Act No. 20 of 1984, now Chapter 39:58. Since its establishment, NIHERST has resourcefully pursued its mandate to promote the development of science, technology and higher education in Trinidad and Tobago, and enhance the innovative, creative and entrepreneurial capabilities of the general population.
