Arvi Xhahi is a Cryogenics Researcher at Nikhef, focusing on Vibration Free Cryogenic Cooling and the design of the Cryochain for the Einstein Telescope since November 2020. Previously, Xhahi worked as a Spacecraft Thermal/Cryogenics Engineer at Airbus Defence and Space, conducting advanced thermal studies and validating thermal subsystems for Earth observation satellites and scientific instruments from March 2017 to November 2020. In addition, Xhahi served as a Lecturer at Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III, teaching spacecraft thermal control principles and design from November 2018 to October 2020, and held a role as a Research Thermal Engineer at Airbus, where an innovative thermal analysis process for aircraft was developed. Xhahi's educational background includes a PhD in Advanced Vibration-Free Cryogenic Cooling from the University of Twente, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical and Thermal Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University, and an HND in Mechanical Engineering from Mediterranean College of Athens and National Technical University of Athens.
