Catharina Vaendel

Catharina Vaendel is a Software Infrastructure Engineer at Nikhef since May 2022, specializing in bridging the gap between researchers and high-performance computing facilities. Vaendel has previously held roles as a Linux Cloud Engineer at NPO and a Linux Infrastructure Engineer at Working Spirit ICT BV, as well as a Linux Engineer at ProRail. Notable achievements include updating an HPC cluster at Amsterdam UMC and serving as a VMware & Linux System Administrator at Wageningen University & Research. Vaendel holds a Master of Science in Information Science and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from the University of Amsterdam, alongside earlier qualifications in Facility Management and Hotel Management.
