Niels van Bakel

Niels van Bakel currently serves as the Group Leader for Detector R&D at Nikhef, the National Institute for Subatomic Physics, a position held since 2010. Previously, Niels worked as a Physicist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory from 2004 to 2010. Niels van Bakel obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Elementary Particle Physics from Utrecht University and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Experimental Particle Physics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam).
