Sijbrand de Jong

Sijbrand de Jong is an accomplished academic and researcher with a long-standing tenure at Radboud University Nijmegen, serving as Dean of the Faculty of Science and Professor of Experimental Physics since 1998. Additional leadership roles include Director of IMAPP, Director of the School of Physics and Astronomy, and Director of the Radboud Pre-University College of Science. Sijbrand has also played a significant role at NIKHEF as a staff member and Programme leader in Cosmic Ray Physics. Sijbrand's international experience includes serving as President of the Council at CERN and as a scientific delegate for the Netherlands. Sijbrand's contributions to physics have been recognized through involvement with the Dutch Physical Society and the FOM Board. Academic qualifications include a PhD in experimental particle physics and an MSc in physics, both from the University of Amsterdam.
