Farzia Karim

Farzia Karim, PhD, is a Senior Optics/Photonics Engineer at Nikon Metrology Inc since October 2022, focusing on the development of next-generation laser radar products utilizing FMCW LiDAR technology. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate in Fiber Optics Sensing at Michigan State University from August 2020 to September 2022, and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the University of Dayton from August 2015 to May 2020. Farzia Karim’s early career included lecturing positions at various institutions including East West University and the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology, as well as research at the Asian Institute of Technology. Farzia Karim holds a PhD in Electro-Optics and Photonics Engineering from the University of Dayton, an MSc in Nanotechnology from the Asian Institute of Technology, and a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology.
