Ram Narayanswamy PhD has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Ram is currently the Head of Product Marketing at NIL Technology since October 2020. Prior to this, they served as the President of Teaq Innovations starting from July 2019. From July 2018 to July 2019, Ram worked at Ball Aerospace as the Advanced Tech Lead for Commercial Aerospace and Strategic Technology. Ram served as the Vice President of Sensing at Occipital from May 2017 to July 2018, where they were responsible for the development of 3D sensor products. Before that, Ram worked at Intel Corporation as a Principal Engineer and Program Director from November 2012 to April 2017, leading teams in computational imaging and 3D capture. Ram also worked at ON Semiconductor (Aptina Imaging) as the Director of Marketing and Product Management from October 2009 to October 2012. Prior to that, Ram worked at OmniVision CDM-Optics as the Director of Product Development from August 2002 to September 2009, where they developed imaging products for various markets. Ram began their career as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Aztek Networks from June 1998 to June 2002. Ram's early work experience includes being an NIH Project Leader/Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Colorado from July 1996 to June 1998, and an Algorithms Engineer at NASA-Langley with STC from October 1986 to May 1991. Throughout their career, Ram has made significant contributions in the field of imaging, including the development of innovative algorithms and the advancement of imaging system models.
Ram Narayanswamy earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. Ram then pursued a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Virginia from 1985 to 1986. Following this, Ram Narayanswamy obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Optoelectronics/Electrical from the University of Colorado Boulder, where they studied from 1991 to 1996. In addition to their formal education, they also participated in the International Space University's Summer Program in 1991, focusing on Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering.
