Tawanda Zimuto

Tawanda Zimuto has a decade of work experience in software engineering and teaching. In 2010, they began their career as a Mathematics Teacher at the Ministry of Education in Zimbabwe. The following year, they took on a role as a Science Teacher at the same organization. In 2012, they joined the MIT Cummins Lab as an Undergraduate Researcher. In 2014, they were an Android Developer at the MIT Senseable City Lab and a Grader for Digital Communication Systems and Differential Equations at MIT. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at Oracle as an Application Engineer and Senior Application Engineer. Tawanda then moved to NimbleRx in 2019, where they worked as a Software Engineer. In 2020, they joined VMware as a Software Engineer, where they are currently employed.

Tawanda Zimuto attended Mkoba 1 High from 2005 to 2008, where they obtained a High School degree. From 2009 to 2010, they attended Thornhill High, studying Mathematics and Physical Sciences. From 2011 to 2015, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. In February 2022, they obtained a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) certification from ProTrainings.
