Tom Macdonald is the Head of Digital Operations at Ninja Tune, an independent record label group. Tom has been with the company for 11 years and 7 months, and in that time, has held the positions of Head of Digital Operations, Head of Digital, and Digital Distribution & Marketing. In May 2018, Tom moved from London to Los Angeles.

As the Head of Digital Operations, Tom is responsible for leading the company's digital strategy and operations. This includes working with CEOs to develop and execute digital distribution, marketing, and sales plans across multiple GRAMMY-winning and nominated campaigns, as well as managing the release and promotion of over 300 digital products each year. Tom is also a key player in the company's advertising initiatives, overseeing strategy, asset creation, and performance analysis to ensure maximum ROI.

In addition to their work with Ninja Tune, Tom is also a respected team leader with an openness and curiosity for new techniques and learning. Tom has managed a team of five in-house staff members, as well as out-of-house developers, and has successfully navigated the shift from downloads to streaming. Tom is also credited with introducing the company to modern online advertising and eCommerce techniques, such as customer and sales tracking, audience segmentation, and retargeting.

Tom Macdonald attended Lancaster University from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a BA(Hons) in Media & Cultural Studies.
