Johan van Heerden

Johan Van Heerden has extensive experience in engineering and product development, particularly in the field of process automation. Johan has held various leadership roles throughout their career, including Vice President of Engineering at Nintex and Vice President of Worldwide Engineering at K2. In these positions, Johan has managed large teams of engineers and product staff, overseeing all aspects of R&D and lifecycle management. Johan has been instrumental in the development and release of several key products within both Nintex and K2. Johan has also been involved in strategic planning, budget administration, and technology roadmap planning. Additionally, they have successfully integrated new acquisitions into company portfolios to expand product capabilities and revenue streams. Prior to their leadership roles, Johan began their career as a Software Engineer and IT Administrator at Mayibuye Group.

Johan Van Heerden completed their education at the University of Pretoria. Johan obtained a Post-Graduate Studies (Honors) degree in Informatics in 2002. Prior to that, they received a BCom degree in Financial Management (BS Degree Equivalent) in 1999 from the same university. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications in Microservices Foundations from LinkedIn and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from Scrum Alliance, obtained in 2019 and 2018 respectively.
