Accounting Analyst

Role Overview

This role is an opportunity to enhance your financial skill set and contribute to a high growth technology company. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the accounting analyst plays a critical role and has broad exposure to the leadership team. You will be responsible for accounting entry, financial reporting, forecasting, and supporting business decision making. Opportunity to define new processes and exposure to strategic financial decisions across the organization. Significant upside for a motivated and high potential accounting professional.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee bookkeeping, payroll, tax and audit preparation.

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end reports.

  • Billing operations (accounts payable, accounts receivable).

  • Financial modeling to support business development.

  • Utilize technical skills to create charts and graphs for visual understanding.

  • Work collaboratively with other financial team members.

Qualifications

  • Required: undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or business

  • Required: at least two years of accounting experience and understanding of financial standards

  • Required: proficient with Excel modeling and PowerPoint.

  • Required: comfort preparing and delivering reports to decision makers with attention to detail and quality control.

  • Required: team player with a demonstrated ability to work both on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Required: honesty, integrity, and good reputation

  • Required: ability to work to deadlines, together with an organized and methodical approach to work

  • Preferred: hands on experience working with QuickBooks software.

  • Preferred: public accounting background or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

  • Preferred: experience working at a startup and building new systems / processes in an unstructured environment.

  • Preferred: history of working with external auditors.

  • Preferred: ability to quickly learn new businesses and industries to translate numbers into decisions
