Amin Niamir is currently a PhD candidate at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research, focusing on minimizing the environmental impact of Blue Energy production on the Wadden Sea ecosystem through advanced imaging technologies. Prior experience includes roles as a laboratory assistant and guest researcher at NIOZ, where work involved analyzing plankton dynamics and studying CaCO3-ions kinetic isotope effects. Amin served as president of the SEG UNIPG Student Chapter and held various internships in exploration and technical roles within notable companies such as Eni and Sinopec. Amin holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geology from Università degli Studi di Perugia and a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology.
