Ionut Vasile

Ionut Vasile is an experienced professional in High Performance Computing (HPC) and network administration, currently serving as the Network Administrator for the Horia Hulubei National Institute of Physics and Nuclear Engineering (IFIN-HH) since December 2005, where responsibilities include managing the National Grid Infrastructure (NGI_RO) Operations Centre and maintaining HPC systems with a focus on open-source software. Past roles include Technology Development Engineer and Junior Researcher, with contributions to parallel programming and the administration of computing clusters. Additional experience encompasses positions at INFN involving CMS-ECAL construction activities, as well as technical roles in optoelectronics and IT support. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Molecular Dynamics from the University of Bucharest, complemented by a Master's degree in Computational Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Computational Physics.
